SALE
Our
Kindergarten & 1 st grade classes will be hosting our last after school
bake sale of the year this Friday May 16 th . Please come by and pick
out some delicious treats. All proceeds go toward the Teacher Appreciation
Dinner.
FIELD
DAY VOLUNTEERS WE NEED YOU!!!!
A
sign up sheet was sent home for our Field Day event which will be held
on June 4 th . Please fill out the volunteer form and return it as soon
as possible. We need parent volunteers to help set up, run the booths
and clean up. The kids look forward to field day and it is a great
way to end the year. We depend on our parents to help us with these
special events. If we do not get enough parent volunteers we will not
be able to have them.

do you have a talent for face painting, spin art, etc. .
.? If you do, and are willing to run a booth using your talent during
Field Day, please write that information at the bottom of the Field Day

HOT DOG LUNCH
We
will be having our last PTF Hot Dog Lunch of the year on Friday, May 9
th . The cost for 1 hot dog, chips, ice cream and a drink is $5.00.
An extra hot dog will cost $1.00 more. Please send in your money as
soon as possible in an envelope marked with your child’s name. Because
this is a fundraiser for our teacher appreciation dinner, lunch
tickets will not be accepted . Thank you for supporting

TALENT
SHOW IS APRIL 10 TH AT 7 p.m.
The
talent show is approaching fast. It is time to start putting your acts
together. Start looking now for a Christian or Patriotic song to sing
or play on the piano (or to accompany your gymnastics routine, etc.) Tryouts
will be starting soon, have your music ready or ask Pastor Johnson for
an accompaniment track.

SPELLING
BEE
We
would like to congratulate the winners and the runners up of our school
spelling bee. The winners will continue on to compete in Camarillo at
the ACSI competition on January 25 th . In the event that the 1 st place
winner is unable to compete in the spelling bee the runner up will then
take his or her place. So please make sure that they continue to study.
TALENT
SHOW IS APPROACHING FAST..
The
talent show is approaching fast. It is time to start putting your acts
together. Remember Christian acts only. More information will follow
in the coming weeks.
YEAR
BOOK PICTURES
We
are in the process of preparing our yearbook and we need your pictures.
Please
send in your pictures that are school related; character day, field trips,
candid school shots, etc. Because we use a digital program to prepare
our yearbook, we need all submitted pictures on a CD. Thank you for
your help.

CLASS COMPETITION
Keep
on collecting those box tops. The class that collects the most box tops
by January 31 st will win a free dress day.

RECIPES NEEDED
Please
bring your family’s favorite recipes in for a cookbook we will be putting
together. If you would like to participate please submit only family
recipes by January 31 st .

What
is AWANA? AWANA is a Bible based, Christ centered non-denominational
program committed to ministering to children from 3yrs – 12 th grade.
The weekly clubs promote an atmosphere filled with fun and excitement!
We will meet every Tuesday from 6:25-8:00 p.m . The
cost is 40.00 per year and includes dues, uniform and books.
You also have the option of keeping your child here for dinner. Shel
Smith (our AWANA Commander) will pick the kids up from daycare at 5:30
p.m. and feed them dinner. All you need to do is send $4.00 with your
child for the meal.

FALL
REGISTRATION
As
of February 1 st we will open our registration to the public. We would
like to give our current families priority so today we will be sending
home registration packets for the fall. Please complete your registration
papers ASAP and return them along with the registration fee of $605.00
to secure a spot for your child. If you would like to pay your registration
fee in two payments we will accept $300.00 now and $305.00 by June 1 st
2008. Please keep in mind that your child’s spot is not secure
until the entire registration fee is paid. We will not be able
to accept registration papers that do not include at least the first installment
of the registration fee.
BAKE
SALE
Our
first bake sale of the year will be this Friday January 18 th after school.
Our Kindergarten and 1 st grade classes will be hosting it. Please
come by and purchase some yummy treats!
MODEL
RELEASE FORM
Attached
to this weeks newsletter is a Model Release Form. We need all parents
to sign this form and return it as soon as possible; we would like to
air the Christmas program on TV. Thank you all for your cooperation.
PTF
PIZZA LUNCH
Friday,
February 1 st we will be having another PTF Pizza Lunch. The cost for
1 slice of pizza, carrots w/ranch, drink and ice cream is $5.00. Extra
slices of pizza are $1.00 each. Because this is a fundraiser to raise
money for the Teacher Appreciation Dinner, we will not be accepting lunch
tickets
SILENT
AUCTION The Silent
Auction is our biggest fundraiser of the year and it is coming up fast.
The date for this event is Saturday, March 15, 2008 so please mark your
calendars for a great family gathering.
